Add-on vs. replace: which is the right format for vehicle packs?

Creator POV. I shipped both add-on and replace versions for my previous pack. Add-ons are a tad more work to install (dlclist edit) but they don't break vanilla.

From a buyer's perspective, which do people like better? According to my stats, replace is installed more often (easier) but results in more support tickets.
