How we protect you before you buy

Full previews

Every mod shows screenshots, video walkthroughs where available, feature lists and install notes so you know exactly what you're buying.

Ratings & reviews

Community ratings come from verified buyers only. Read what other modders think before you commit.

Malware-scanned

Every upload is scanned for malware, broken installs and licensing violations before it's published.

Creator track record

Every creator has a public profile - mod count, average rating, download count and tier level - so you know you're buying from a trusted author.

When we do make exceptions

We credit your account (in platform store credit) in these narrow situations:

  • Malware detected post-purchase - if a file is flagged for malicious code after sale, the creator is banned and affected buyers are credited in full.
  • Duplicate accidental purchase - if you clearly double-purchased the same mod within a short window by accident.
  • Mod fundamentally misrepresented - the listing promises one thing and delivers something unrelated. Contact support with evidence.
  • File corruption on delivery - if the archive is corrupted and the creator doesn't ship a fix within 7 days.

In each case the remedy is an account credit applied to your GTAModding.net balance, usable on any future purchase - never a chargeback or cash refund.
