About fivem mods

FiveM is the de facto multiplayer modding framework for GTA - whether you're running private servers, custom game modes or full-blown roleplay communities with persistent economies. FiveM mods on this site are the files you stream to your FiveM server: fxmanifest-ready scripts, jobs for ESX & QBCore, custom car / ped packages, dispatch backends, anti-cheat hooks and more.

Most FiveM servers operate using what's known as a stack: a base framework (ESX or QBCore), jobs/economy scripts, custom vehicle/ped streams, MLO interiors and administrator tools. View the Scripts category for server-side scripts and the Roleplay playstyle for the entirety of the RP-server stack.

Running a FiveM server? Use these mods alongside a hosting provider. Many set up with shared FiveM hosting and upgrade when their concurrent player count requires it. There are a few hosting partners the community has standardized on; check the Servers playstyle section for adjacent stacks (RAGE MP, alt:V, standalone).

Note: FiveM is the multiplayer modification framework for GTA 5. The GTA 6 counterpart is likely going to be named SixM at launch. Current FiveM modders are getting a head start by tagging mods with both now so they can be found when searching on day one of the new framework.

Common questions about fivem mods

What is FiveM?

A multiplayer modification platform for GTA that allows server owners to host private servers with custom game modes, scripting, and player limits far beyond GTA Online's capabilities. Most of the GTA roleplay community operates on FiveM.

Is FiveM legal?

Yes. FiveM uses private servers, so you aren't interacting with Rockstar's services in any way - FiveM doesn't modify GTA Online. Take-Two has let FiveM exist for years. Don't get FiveM mods confused with mods loaded into GTA Online itself - that will get you banned instantly.

What's the difference between ESX and QBCore?

They're both FiveM RP frameworks. ESX is the older one; QBCore is newer with cleaner code. Most new RP servers use QBCore. Mods tend to be made for either one or the other (occasionally both).

Will FiveM work for GTA 6?

FiveM works specifically for GTA 5. There will probably be a GTA 6 equivalent called SixM (or something along those lines). Cfx.re (FiveM's parent company) has teased GTA 6 support - keep an eye on SixM.
