About roleplay mods
GTA 6 roleplay (RP) is the practice of playing the game as a persistent character on a server with rules, jobs, an economy and other players doing the same. RP mods are the building blocks: civilian and emergency-services peds, walkable MLO interiors for businesses and homes, dispatch and police frameworks (LSPDFR-style), job systems (taxi, mechanic, EMS, paramedic), persistent vehicle inventories, custom uniforms and outfit packs.

What's the difference between roleplay mods and FiveM mods?
Overlap is huge. Roleplay mods are content (peds, MLOs, jobs, vehicles) that let an RP server feel like a real city. FiveM mods are the technical resources (fxmanifest scripts, ESX/QBCore frameworks) that the server runs. Most RP servers stack both.
Do I need a server to use roleplay mods?
Most yes - RP mods are designed to be hosted on a multiplayer framework. A few (single-player ped packs, MLO interiors) work in offline Story Mode for cinematic / single-player roleplay sessions, but the full experience needs a server.
Can I use roleplay mods in GTA Online?
No. Loading custom mods while connected to GTA Online triggers Rockstar's anti-cheat and results in an account ban. Roleplay mods only run on private servers (FiveM, RAGE MP, alt:V, future SixM).
